The Lord loves righteousness and justice;
the earth is full of His steadfast love.
Look up — the heavens were made by the word of His mouth,
and the earth below is flooded with His mercy.
He spoke, and the stars came to be;
He breathed, and the host of them stood.
He gathers the waters of the sea as a heap
and lays the deeps in their storehouses.
Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let every people stand in awe of Him.
He spoke, and it came to be;
He commanded, and it stood firm.
The nations take counsel, and it comes to nothing;
the plans of peoples He turns aside.
But the counsel of the Lord stands forever,
the thoughts of His heart to all generations.
So I will not fear the shaking of kingdoms.
The word that hung the stars still holds me;
the love that fills the earth will not run dry.
His counsel stands, and I stand in it.
