The heavens are Yours, O Lord;
the earth also is Yours, and everything in it.
You founded the north and the south;
the skies were stretched out by Your arm.
Your faithfulness surrounds You,
and the firmament shows Your might.
The heavens are glad; the earth rejoices,
because You established them with a word.
Who in the skies can be compared to the Lord?
Who among the stars is like the Lord?
You are feared in the council of the holy ones,
and great beyond all who surround You.
Let me remember, when I look up:
the same arm that stretched out the sky
reaches down to hold the child of dust.
The heavens are Yours, and so, somehow, am I.
